Janet Ambrozek specializes in tax
law with a particular emphasis on international tax matters and related
business and real estate transactions. She graduated from
Harvard University (B.A., Physics, 1969) and received her law degree
(J.D.) from the Hastings College of Law, University of California, in
1977. At Hastings, she was Articles Editor of the Hastings
Constitutional Law Quarterly. She is fluent in English,
Spanish and French.
For 20 years, Ms. Ambrozek has counseled clients in complex
business transactions such as purchases, sales, and formation and
structuring of U.S. and foreign corporations, partnerships and other
business entities. She represents clients in real estate
transactions and development, including acquisitions, financing, leasing
and sales. She also has extensive experience with estate
planning, financial institutions and corporate reorganizations.
Ms. Ambrozek is a member of the San Diego County Bar
Association (Taxation, Business, International Law sections) and the
Lawyers Club of San Diego. She has been certified by the
California Board of Legal Specialization as a taxation law specialist.
Born in Geneva, Switzerland, Janet was raised in Switzerland,
New York and Mexico City. She is married to Bruce Kimmich and
they have one son, Daniel.
