Tim Scott concentrates his practice in white collar criminal defense. He has extensive experience in criminal trials and appeals, and has successfully defended in a number of high profile cases.
Tim is a frequent lecturer at Federal Defenders of San Diego C.L.E. seminars, and at the annual U.S. District Court Judicial Conference in San Diego. He is also an adjunct professor of Advanced Trial Advocacy and Federal Criminal Procedure at California Western School of Law.
From 2001-2004, Tim was a trial lawyer with
Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc. During that time, Tim litigated over twenty cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Prior to that, Tim was an associate with Gordon
Thomas Honeywell, LLP in Tacoma, Washington in complex litigation.
Tim is admitted to practice in California and Washington, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Southern District of California, Central District of California, Western District of
Washington, and Western District of Pennsylvania.
Tim is an active member of the Ninth Circuit Lawyer Representative Coordinating Committee and the Lawyer Representative Committee for the Southern District of California.
