Budapest and Vienna Conferences
Pittsburgh, 8/1/2003 - On July 11-13, Dan Hull of
the firm’s San Diego office, attended the First Convocation of Congress
of Fellows of the Center for International Legal Studies (CILS), held in
Budapest, Hungary. Hull was one of eighty-two Fellows, from 32
countries, who attended the convocation. Guests and honorary
Fellows included Ferenc Mádl, the President of Hungary, Arpád Erdei,
Constitutional Court Justice, and ambassadors from the Netherlands, South
Africa and Norway.
On July 14, Hull participated in a separate CILS meeting in
Vienna, Austria for a program of the United Nations Commission on
International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) focusing on insolvency, secured
transactions and e-commerce. UNCITRAL has working groups in the
practice areas of international arbitrations, e-commerce, insolvency,
security interests, transportation and privately-financed infrastructure
projects.
